A round up of the designs, ideas and debates that have interested and inspired me during the month.

This is the first in a series of monthly round-ups designed as much for my own benefit as yours, dear reader. It’s a means of reminding myself what has been spiking my interest and inspiring me over the last thirty days and maybe provide a little insight for you too along the way. It’s a combination of saved posts from my RSS feeds, Delicious bookmarks and favourited tweets.

Sushi & Robots Another fabulous re-design from Jina Bolton, making the extremely complex look elegant and easy. Lovely.

EveryBlock via Adam Greenfield, EveryBlock shows some of the immense potential of filtering available hyperlocal information sources.

Second And Park A lovely balanced design for Tiffani Jones, combining great typography and visual restraint. The copy is, of course, beautifully crisp and crafted.

Memorial. Period. Brand New reviews Landor’s exceptional work on the 9/11 Memorial with Hoefler & Frere-Jones’ Verlag used to great, and rather moving, effect.
